Presentation Description:
At last year's CPMA Conference Geoffrey Posluszny presented on Electric Vehicle Charging Station ("EVCS") installation including information on the levels of chargers, electrical requirements, ADA Compliance, and space striping and signage. Now that you've decided to install these charging stations, you have many more questions about this decision. Leslie Jo Hurwitz joins Geoffrey this year to discuss updates regarding implications of installing EVCS such as changes to functional design, infrastructure upgrades, and financial and operational decisions that will need to be made. With many Municipalities considering EV Charging requirements for new construction and possibly existing redevelopment, we'll offer insight that should be considered before making sweeping legislation. How will this legislation impact future development growth and expense? How will this legislation help the public? What are the long-term expenses going to be to sustain these devices? How many EVs are on the road today, what are the future projections, and what will the utilization be?
