Carl DePinto

I am honored not only to be a current member of the Carolinas Parking and Mobility Association and would be honored to be considered to be on the Board of Directors. As  member of the Triangle and resident of North Carolina I feel I can bring some perspective as one of the largest private employers in the state and share with the board some of the learnings that I have experienced over the 25 plus years in the parking and transportation business. Our organization at Duke University and Health has operated very similarly to cities and municipalities based on our size and scale. With that I am hoping to assist in any way I can to help our fellow colleagues in the mobility field with inquiries or challenges that may come up and help to explore new and exciting ways to bring our services and new products to market. I would also be able to shed light on operating in a major metropolitan city market based on my experience running a large scale parking operation in New York City.  I am thankful to be considered by the board of directors  . I thank you for the opportunity to allow me to submit this and would be humbled to be a board member in such a wonderful area and organization with a variety of different members spanning over two states. I have a strong passion for mobility and hope to share this with members of such an organization rich in knowledge.

Mr. Puckett successfully oversees the daily operation of the university’s parking and transportation system, which includes enforcement, maintenance, finance and budget, and special events planning.  Mr. Puckett has implemented a focus on communications with both the campus and community at large to ensure that day-to-day operations, as well as special events run smoothly and all community members are educated on parking and transportation issues.  Mr. Puckett has  continued to run the office successfully throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, while operating with significantly less staff and implementing LPR with updated customer service procedures.

Mr. Puckett is also involved in the parking community nationally through his participation in various parking conferences, meetings, and networking events with various other parking professionals.
