One of our primary roles in leadership is to set the tone and lead by positive example. Are you achieving this goal? At times, we may not realize the impact our communication style has on those around us, both positively and negatively. What assumptions are being made about you and your organization based on how we chose to communicate? This session is intended to help you recognize how your communication style affects the message received by others. In this course, attendees will examine the importance of perceptions and first impressions, review the effects of a low mood quotient, complete and review a communication style assessment and discuss the importance of character development in leadership. Three Learning Objectives: Examine the long-lasting consequences of a first impression, Review the concept of “Mood Quotient”, Discuss the 4 different motivations in communication (includes a brief communication style self-assessment).
