Cha'ssem Anderson (University of NC at Chapel Hill) 

Cha’ssem possesses nearly 20 years of expertise in transportation and parking. During his career, he has acquired a solid   background and understanding of comprehensive planning principles and a specialized background in transportation       planning, transit administration, cartography, parking and customer service.Currently, Cha’ssem serves as Associate   Director of Transportation and Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill. In this role, he is responsible for strategic planning, including   representation on regional and local committees acting as a university/department liaison on policy and service   development associated with transportation services. For his great work, he was honored with the International Parking   and Mobility Institute 2024 Apex Award in Restoration for the University’s surface parking facility and campus wide parking   repairs. Before joining UNC-Chapel Hill in 2019, he served as Director of Transportation and Parking at North Carolina   Central University. During his time there, he coordinated all daily operations of traffic, parking and transportation services   including developing and implementing emergency operations, policies, procedures, plans and programs. His experience   in transportation and parking planning is rooted in developing, administering and implementing short-range and long-range   transportation plans, emergency transportation management and cultivating relationships with regional transportation   partners. Cha’ssem also served in various roles at Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts, Fort Worth Transportation   Authority, Triangle Transit Authority and The City of Durham.Cha’ssem holds a bachelor’s in Geography and a master’s in Geography and Earth Sciences from North Carolina Central University. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a Certified Administrator of Public Parking, among other affiliations.
