Biography:
Leslie Jo Hurwitz is Managing Principal in the Charlotte, North Carolina office of Walker Consultants. She has over 20 years of experience in the consulting engineering business with responsibilities encompassing project management, engineering consulting, restoration, and operations management. The projects she has managed range from small evaluations and studies to large multi-discipline structure designs. As a Project Manager, Leslie Jo’s responsibilities include client interface, technical consulting, project team coordination, budget/schedule oversight, and management of multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction. She has also been involved in two mega-project designs working as an assistant project manager overseeing specification development, sub consultant management, and quality review coordination. Leslie Jo has been involved in over 200 parking projects throughout her career specializing in the design and restoration of pre-cast concrete and cast-in-place concrete structures serving government facilities, universities, airports, retail/entertainment complexes, shopping malls, transportation center, and medical facilities. Throughout the years, Leslie Jo has been involved with a variety of industry organizations including American Society of Civil Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, International Concrete Repair Institute, and National Society of Professional Engineers.
